We manufacture our SDT Brakes Racing RS55 car brake pads using a semi-metallic organic compound (RS-55), developed for racing and competition driving. Ideal for use in track days, special stages and lightweight competition vehicles.
Technical features and performance characteristics of the RS55 racing compound from SDT BRAKES:
- Semi-metallic organic friction compound (asbestos-free formulation).
- Enhanced pedal feel, progressive response and improved braking performance.
- Stable initial friction at low temperatures with medium initial bite.
- High modulation capability and precise braking control.
- Low wear rate.
- Controlled and predictable bedding-in process.
- Reduced noise tendency and lower disc aggressiveness compared to RT66 and RR80 compounds.
Main applications: lightweight rally cars, track day circuit use, special stages, hill climbs, sprint races, single-seaters and rally raid.
Operating temperature range: 0°C to 700°C. Average friction coefficient: 0.51 µ.
